About Prompts From The Valley Nis

Prompts From the Valley Nis is a weekly prompt from The Poe-tato Writing Collective, encouraging creativity inspired by the writings of Edgar Allan Poe.

Each week, a new prompt will be posted to our Substack, containing a poem or story written by Edgar Allan Poe. Your goal is to write a story or poem in response, drawing inspiration from key components in his piece.

At the end of each prompt there's a poll to decide the next week's prompt, so we highly encourage participating.

We'll also be discussing some stories and poems submitted each week through the Your Potato Digest podcast, in a segment called called Hidden Inside the Valley Nis -- which covers some of our regular writing features, too.
